Course description

This half-day, hands-on training course is designed for resident doctors to develop and enhance their competence and confidence in essential practical skills. Delegates will rotate through small-group stations, each focusing on a key procedure, with real-time feedback and supervised practice from experienced faculty.

• Venepuncture & troubleshooting in blood sampling

• Arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling & interpretation

• Ultrasound-guided cannulation

• Nasogastric (NG) tube placement & confirmation

• Male & female urinary catheterisation and troubleshooting

• Basic suturing techniques
